All shamed once belonged to a family or house of great status, but due to one reason or another, were abandoned or enslaved. If not abandoned or enslaved, then they were a child of someone who was or had done something shameful, bastards mostly. If they had shamed parents, then they too were shamed, destined to carry on the torch for generations. A shamed has no prospects, no future. To be shamed means you can never be honorable again, you would always be filthy, dirty, unclean and impure to the eyes that crossed you. The shamed have no basic human rights. Should someone capture them as a slave, there was nothing anyone could do about it. If a shamed were killed in the street, no one would shriek, no one would feel remorse, or shock, or pity. The day would continue as if that being that is lesser than a person had never existed. That is what it means to be shamed. You do not exist until it is convenient for someone, and even then you are only partially convenient, as anything a shamed accomplished should be deemed as not worth anything.

Honor in conquest, and family
House Discord is a house the prides itself on unified chaos and destruction. Its honor is in the family; Doing anything that makes the house look good brings honor to an individual and this honor to Discord. Dishonor to one's self would be a dishonor to the family, thus being disowned by the family and becoming one of the Shamed, often losing all forms of rights within the house and being forced into slavery. This is of the houses oldest traditions. Discord being the only house to create slaves, they would then sell slaves to other houses, marking them with the symbol of a slave would mean they could never lead a house, but they were expected to follow the same rules of their masters within a house. If your slaves did something dishonorable, then the owner was considered dishonorable which the master would punish based on how he or she felt necessary. The slaves are often used for war, and the slave masters would sit behind, on pedestals, like royalty. Like house Meticulous they are the upper class but oppose the common morality that house Meticulous holds so high

Honor in killing, honor in death, every scar is precious

“Witness me Wolf Clan, for I am going to die a good death, with my teeth bloody and my bones broken. I will kill with honor… and die with honor” - The Pledge of Fenrir. House Pandemonium is a savage clan of carnivores and omnivores, and every so often, herbivores that have forsaken their natural diet, for the flesh of others. A house that formed quickly after the great Calamity and the fog mutation where the Great Wolf descended from the sky and devoured an entire district in the night. They find honor in the hunt and kill and eat as they feel necessary. The bigger the game, the more scars you can show from the hunt, the more honor you receive. Some mark themselves for every time they have killed, keeping a tally to represent their honor so all may see it. They call them Stains, which they can then offer in a blood pact to others in the Wolf Clan in exchange for eternal loyalty and devotion, forming a pact of sorts. There is, however, another kind of honor; particularly that goes to the herbivores that put up a fight before being killed by the wolf clan. The challenge of a good death is what binds the clan together. Being able to defend oneself is to bring honor, running away is never acceptable. It's always kill or be killed and if you are defeated but not killed then your meat is not worthy of the hunt, the most dishonorable means of existence possible within the wolf clan. It is through this logic that some great pack leaders have been herbivores, killing and feeding their kills to the pack that they offered stains too. A rabbit, leading a pack of foxes is what many call it.

Something ingrained at a young age to the future politicians, businesspeople, and Chief Executive Officers of big companies. Many in-house Meticulous go to school, get a good education, land a career in making things better than what they already are in their personal view. The deceased’s collection of swords is melted down, handed out, sold, to another youth who stays humble, looks clean, dresses nicely, and everything he or she wants… is given to them… on the melted down swords, blood, sweat, and tears of a man who thought manners made him.

Thieves Guild
- The Thieves Guild is exactly what the name implies. This is where some pretty organized bandits hang out and steal stuff. Or kill people. You know, whatever they think thieves should be doing. As member of this guild, be aware you will be considered a criminal, and will be treated as such. This guild is not recognized by the Emperors.
