When the Calamity struck and Aliana found her form to be that of a spider, she smirked at the irony. For years her family had spun webs, laid traps, and played the Game of Families for so long and so well they remained one of the oldest in Discord. Most of the other families had some form of tentative alliance because otherwise would risk becoming Shamed if not Slaved. The Vere’s seemed to be a warm and caring group of people to those who were unawares but they were a cutthroat family, looking only to preserve and grow themselves.


The Vere family has a different way of rearing slaves than most others. They invented a caste system that slaves could move through in various ways, a mini society in their house. They played the slaves against one another and it got to the point where only long time visitors would know who was whom. During early childhood the Vere family children were challenged to get results for endeavors; destroy a communion of slaves with other slaves, find a means for them to work harder, add something to the barter economy. It was effective until the slaves began to attempt to revolt. The Vere family learned quickly how to deal with small chinks in their plans like that. Though they had more revolts, numbers wise they were one of the biggest families thus far.


The lowest parts caste system included your basic field laborers, miners, and gatherers. They had the worst living conditions and normally the least amount of resources. Above that you had various supervisor positions, entertainers, refiners, who all had just a bit more than those below them. Delivery Men, toughs, escorts, and servants made up the next caste. They wanted only for more affection at that point. The highest level was reserved only for the close personal slaves of a family member, their bodyguards, Misters and Mistresses, Most of the slaves can move between them by meeting certain requirements based on the supervisor and the family’s discretion. Punishments for breaking the rules of their caste or role in the Vere family society were extreme from plain lashes to torture, from demotion in rank to being shamed, from death to everything but.


Aliana herself was schooled by tutors of various lineages in various subjects. Occasionally even from other nations. She was unsure about some of these people with their status. They served her, but they weren’t slaves. It was odd. However she continued to work on her studies and did everything she could to surpass expectations, occasionally she failed. It was difficult to keep up with 2 other sisters and a brother. In fact with the male child as the eldest, it seemed like Aliana would only receive a paltry bit for all the efforts. As family was supposed to be the most important thing, this thought scared young Aliana so she put her efforts into figuring out how to keep her siblings together.


Aliana, scared her family would berate her or belittle her for such a childish scheme, decided to do what her family did best and use her slaves. She manipulated them around her parents figuring out what her siblings talents were. When she presented her findings to her parents, they smiled impressed. “If you wish for all of you to stay together so bad, so be it.” and thus, her siblings were bound to her in slavery,


Aliana learned an important lesson that day, and though she was reluctant to do so at the beginning, she knew her family would end up attempting a coup if she didn’t. That day she became cold as she broke her family, bending them to her will. She learned to keep her plots secret until the end and that sacrifice comes in many forms. That laid the foundation for the rest of her life.


She learned many things from her tutors, from her slaves, and from various other forms. More about how people work and how to manipulate society's rules to her preference and comfort. Aliana became a confident Deus Domina, almost forcing her slaves to become a nation of sorts where she was worshipped as somewhere between a benevolent empress and a wrathful goddess.


After the Calamity next to nothing changed for Aliana. Sure she was down quite a few slaves and order had to be restored quickly, and sure now a bunch of upstarts have decided to attempt to tell her how to live her life, but it could’ve been much worse. Perhaps she could focus more on building her alliances. At least to make sure everything stayed the way she needed it to.

Like their brother, she is taller than her domina but like her sister she has bright red hair. Her body was made to be like a bowstring, taut and malleable for whatever her Domina asks of her.

Made to be the perfect servant, one who sacrifices everything for their Domina. All of the minor and trivial things are taken care of by this slave while at home so her Domina can focus on more important things. While out, and while not working on needed tasks at the home front, she takes seemingly effortless care of her Domina’s needs

Animal Form: - Silkmoth

Feat: - Kyna is able to shift herself into a set of extremely powerful body armor that is lightweight and resistant to most forms of damage with exceptions to extreme temperatures or energies. When Aimon was missing and someone tried to attack her Domina, Kyna ran in the way of an assailants blade. She only wanted to be able to protect Aliana from harm completely, and morphed over the Domina’s body, solidifying and preventing just that.

With the exception of a slightly thinner body and red curly hair, Aliana and Ide look as if they could be twins

Mental Characteristics: - 
Perhaps it was because of their closeness in age, perhaps it was because of their vastly different looks, perhaps it was because of a strong rivalry between them but no one was mentally broken more than Ide. This was to make it so she could be built up to take the persona of whomever would be needed, whoever was best to gain whatever it was her Domina sought. She was forced to learn how to blend in if necessary, how to have someone’s attention drawn to her, how to please, how to punish, and (if someone couldn’t be directly confronted with Aimon) how to kill and subvert guilt. She is little more than an autonomous puppet.
Knowing that eventually Ide would be easily recognizable, Aliana put her in charge of

Feat: - Spider’s Fang dagger. From her spider’s fangs, Ide has the ability to turn into a dagger that’s been fused with her spider venom. When Aliana called for a way to slowly make her foe suffer, Ide took this form thinking it to be the most effective way to slowly torment someone to death.

Aimon was forced to undergo training that forced his body to become a poised shield of sorts. He has short cropped black hair and the Vere green eyes He fights in a primarily defensive form of fighting, blocking and countering in order to protect his Domina. He wears a heavy, nearly impenetrable suit of a sort that turns him into a perfect living shield. However, if commanded he will shed it, making him extremely fast and able to attack quickly.  


Mental Characteristics: - 
After being broken, her brother received the name Aimon was trained to be a strict and staunch protector of Aliana and her interests. He is silent and has since forgotten most of his education and has replaced with with various form combat training. In addition, after finding his animal form, he was commanded to learn how to use any of it’s qualities to help him notice subtle changes in those around him.

Animal Form: - Silkmoth

Feat: - Shield of fear (working name). Keeping with the designs of the silk moth’s defenses, the shield has an ability to reflect an opponents fear if stared at for a bit. It is about as strong as a carbon steel shield. Aimon received this when Aliana called on him to protect her from “anything this assailant could possibly do.” Knowing his opponent was a resourceful person with a strong fear, he wished to display that fear in a form that could protect his Domina.
